Artist's Comments

This is a self portrait of me as Syd Barrett the founder of Pink Floyd.

He was sick & out of his mind by the time the band recorded "Wish You Were Here", which the title of my piece and the the name of the song are on. The recording is about the toll the music industry puts on a famous musician...thus falling into the depths of the "The Machine...".

This was all done with Photoshop CS2 and some scraps of images...please listen to the recording and view the artwork; there are many little puzzle pieces in it.

I post most of my images large on my site so you can hopefully appreciate the time I put into the detail of every piece I create.

Thanks for looking!

This piece can also be found in the book titled, "The Best of Adobe Photoshop". Written and edited by one of my heroes in life; Bill Hurter. Published by Amherst Media. :nana: [link]
